Hong Kong was recently named one of the worst places on earth for light pollution, and neon signs like these contribute to the problem. But I love these signs, especially those that sprout in large numbers and garish colors over crowded streets, suspended by elaborate cable and truss systems as they compete for attention. To me they are an important part of Hong Kong's landscape and some of them deserve landmark status.
