The Buddhist Swayambhu Temple in Kathmandu is known amongst tourists at Monkey Temple, due to the high number of apes roaming around the hilltop temple complex, scrounging for food and generally getting up to mischief. Here a baby monkey plays amongst the prayer flags strung along the steps to the temple, leaping from one to another as if they were branches.
