For this photograph, I was in the USA state of Michigan during the winter, when temperatures were frigid and Lake Superior was close to freezing. It was late in the day, with weak winter sunlight, and I asked a companion to walk on the beach so that I could photograph her. I like the stark and chilly composition, and she said she had never been so cold in her life.
