Description:

The sun setting over the remains of Brighton's iconic West Pier as the starlings gather to put on their murmuration show!. Built in Victorian times to allow the populace to enjoy bracing fresh sea air by walking over the sea, it has suffered gradual destruction since the mid 1900s and was finally closed to the public in 1975. In 2003 a fire destroyed the main structure, the elements continuing the work leaving these skeletal remains.
